Myla is the mother Burt, my fiancé's friend.
Here is Myla's story in Burt's words:
My mom had first over came
breast cancer about 15 years ago. Then, she had a heart attack 10 years ago. In the
last two years she was fighting with lung cancer, which she had won, but then some
brain tumors were found. After a surgery, we thought they were all gone but
they weren’t. My mom knew it was her time and refused any more treatment and
within days she was finally pain free.
Burt chose Mile 4 for Myla in honor of her birthday, April 4th.

Myla (Mickey) was a dear friend of mine who I think of more often than not. She was my boss for 28 wonderful years and I will be forever great full for her guidance, understanding, friendliness, humor, forgiveness and most of all her love.
